19 hours in Arcata

Darian was so excited when we surprised her on a late Saturday night. We had burgers and milkshakes before going to the beach, where Payton conquered her fear of the dark and Chris got us lost in the dunes on the way back. The next day, we got donuts and drove to the river where Sierra and I took a long time to jump off the rocks.

I spent a lot of time looking at how the light outlined my dear friends.

I let my brother borrow my camera throughout the trip and he asked me a lot of questions about light. He caught on fast and I was impressed with the shots he took. Below are a couple of my favorites.

The waiter at one of the restaurants recommended going to Inspiration Point to go star gazing. On the last couple nights, I asked my family if we could stay out late to check it out (thanks Ma for staying up late with us!) and it was absolutely breathtaking.
